Autograph letters signed from Thomas Phillipps, Middle Hill, to unidentified recipients [manuscript], 1854.

(1) Dated 8 Feb. 1854; Phillipps would like the recipient's opinion on Palaephatus' De Incredibilibus; the second leaf contains a passage in Modern Greek from a copy of Palaephatus' De Incredibilibus in another hand; (2) Phillipps writes that the note of Palephatus was taken from a manuscript on vellum but he cannot tell if it is of genuine antiquity or not. Both letters are addressed "Dear Sir" and are addressed from Middle Hill.

His collection of manuscripts eventually numbered over 60,000 items.
